Chris Almich, High School Head of Science and G9 Grade Leader, from the United States, joined Tsinglan School in August 2018. He received his Bachelor's Degree in physics from California Polytechnic State University and his Master's Degree in education in Shanghai. Chris is a passionate teacher with many years of experience in science education. He loves learning and teaching. In science, he adheres to the teaching method that closely combines theory and practice, and firmly believes that students' learning in practice is the best learning. He hopes to develop students' critical thinking through inquiry based learning courses, which will extend to all aspects of their life. He likes hiking, camping, meditation and playing guitar.

Roselyn Baronia
Head of IT
Roselyn Baronia, Head of IT, Technology Integration Coordinator, from Philippines, joined Tsinglan School in October 2020. She is a seasoned technology educator for over a decade and has taught in the Philippines, in the Middle East, and here in China. She graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering, finished a post-graduate certificate in teaching, and currently pursuing her Master of Science in Computing and Information Systems at a university in the UK. She has achieved her various levels of studies with flying colors and had even bagged an excellence award in research which paved the way for her university teaching stint at an early age. Roselyn conducted and authored several R&D studies in Engineering and Technology; some of which were published. Aside from teaching, she also previously worked as an IT Engineer in an international IT company. She used to be one of the International Baccalaureate Organization’s (IBO) Curriculum Reviewers for IT and research courses. She is a holder of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) international certification. In addition, Roselyn is an active member of different international and her home country’s professional technology and research organizations, has written several published technology articles, and had been a speaker at different technology-oriented conferences. She loves reading, writing, and listening to music.

Fencing coach
Marc Bigorra, the Head Coach of Tsinglan Fencing Academy, from France, joined Tsinglan School in March 2020. He has more than 30 years of teaching experience in Fencing as he earned 2 Coaching Awards from the French Olympic Committee in 2006 and 2012. He also got the award of best coach of the year from Switzerland Fribourg Sports Bureau in 2009. As a former French national masters epee team member, he won in 2000 in Italy the bronze medal in team and participated three times in the World fencing Masters championships. He won the gold medal in 2012 in the French national championship in epee and got silver the year after.As a coach, Marc's students won over 100 gold medals in Provincial championships and 15 in National championships. 25 fencers were selected for the World or European championships under his command. In 2017 he was leading the Zhejiang fencing team and selected 7 fencers for the National Games in Tianjin 2017. He loves outdoor activities such as trekking and camping, reading, and traveling. Jacqueline Browne, High School Head of English Literature and G12 Grade Leader, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Media and Cultural Studies from the University of Kwazulu Natal in Durban, South Africa. Thereafter she completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education, with a focus on Home Language English and English Literature and Dramatic Arts. She has been teaching as a senior English Literature and Language teacher and also taught world-class curriculum of the IEB. At Crawford College North Coast, she fulfilled the roles of Head of English, Head of AP English. During her time at Crawford College North Coast, her pedagogical practices and outstanding academic results were recognized with a ‘Teacher of Excellence’ award. Jacqueline enjoys traveling, reading, road and trail running and cooking.

Jane Cheng, High School Head of Math, joined Tsinglan School in August 2019. She graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, holding a Master's degree of Probability and Statistics, as she obtained a full scholarship in postgraduate program and honored as an outstanding postgraduate student. Jane is an certified teacher in AP Calculus AB, BC and AP statistics as she has been teaching in international schools in China and Malaysia for serval years with a deep understanding in A-level, AP and Singapore Math. She is very happy to work with colleagues who are from different backgrounds, all these different ideas inspired her to help her students achieve their targets. Vivian Feng, Director of Tsinglan School Standardized test Academy (TSSA), joined Tsinglan School in August 2022. She graduated from South China Normal University with a Bachelor's Degree and from Mount Saint Vincent University in Canada with a Master's Degree. She worked and lived in Canada for 10 years. She acquires both Chinese and Canadian teaching certificates, and has 8 years of teaching and management experience in IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, SSAT and other standardized tests. She used to be the Academic Director of two well-known language schools in Canada, and is well versed in the differences and commonalities of Chinese and Western educational cultures. She is experienced in teacher management, student enrollment, and supporting students with different cultural backgrounds. In leisure time, she is a snowboarder, a travel enthusiast, and a foodie.

Adam Hacker, Middle School Head of Science, joined Tsinglan School in August 2020. He graduated from Miami University of Ohio which is in the top 30 universities in America and is considered a top public Ivy league school. Having double majored in Zoology and in Environmental Science, he finds the natural world full excitement and mystery. He even studied abroad in Kenya and Tanzania to live with the Masai and study African Elephants in the wild savanna and climbed to the top of Mount Kenya. He completed the TEFL and TESOL Master Level Certification and is currently working on his Master's degree in Education with a US Teaching Certification in Secondary Biology. He believes education is a two-way street that the giving and receiving of knowledge lays the ground work for true discovery. Through the teaching of science, he aims to help the students in their critical thinking skills and develop a greater confidence in their abilities. Yilang Hanzhou, G7 Grade Leader, Art Teacher, a member of the Heilongjiang Artists Association. Graduated from Harbin Normal University with an undergraduate degree in arts education and Chinese painting. His works have been exhibited at many domestic exhibitions, including those organized by official art associations and invitational exhibitions of various enterprises. In his view, Chinese culture has unique aesthetic characteristics. He hopes to open children's interest in Chinese art and culture and integrate Western contemporary art and culture to form a unique aesthetic concept for each child. Ann He, Director of Student Development Center, joined Tsinglan School In August 2021. She graduated from Beijing Normal University majoring in ideological and political education. As a Middle School Senior Teacher, she has a persistent pursuit of education. Since teaching, she has served as a graduating class teacher for many years, while held a management position at the same time. She has served as secretary of the school's Youth League Committee, director of the moral education department, vice president of moral education and secretary of the school's party branch. In the years of teaching and research, she has formed her own unique teaching style, and explored the "one-line beading" teaching method. She obtained both her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Southwest University. She has 9 years of High School history teaching experience, and many years of experience as a homeroom teacher . Her Academic Articles has won the provincial and municipal first prizes for many times. She was awarded the title of outstanding teacher by Songshan Lake Education Bureau, participated in the Cambridge Active Learning project and successfully finished, and obtained the certificate of Future City tutor. She guided students to win the champion of the Future Space Scholars Meeting Junior (FSSMJ) in China, led students to participate in Future City and won the Grand Prize in China twice, and one of the Future City teams created the best record (Top4) in the history of Chinese students in the international competition.

Harriman Huo, Leading Chinese Teacher, Gansu Province Master Chinese Teacher, Longyuan Famous Teacher, Provincial Level Subject Leader. Joined Tsinglan School January 2022. Graduated from Gansu Provincial Institute of Education majoring in Chinese language and literature. He once taught at Jiuquan Middle School in Gansu Province, and was a Professor Level Teacher in the middle school. In 2018, he won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. In 2019, he won the first prize of the Chinese National Poetry Teaching Competition. He served as a Homeroom Teacher for 18 years with outstanding High school and college entrance examination results produced by his students. He likes writing, reading, and is good at calligraphy. He has published five monographs including "On Sword" and "How Teachers Read Classics". He pursues to make "Try, and all is possible" a reality for himself and his students.

Carl Klopper is the Head of Humanities for both the Middle School & High School at Tsinglan.He has been at our school since its inaugural year. He will be teaching Advanced Placement Microeconomics and Macroeconomics for the third year running at our school. He studied Economics and Commercial Law at Nelson Mandela University before completing his PGCE teaching qualification. Carl piques student interest in his classes by challenging learners to make real- world connections with the textbook theories. He is also involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award at our school. Before joining Tsinglan, he taught internationally in South Korea where he gained valuable educational experiences. He looks forward to many more years at Tsinglan.

Cathy Kang,Middle School Head of ESL, joined Tsinglan School in August 2018. She graduated from Xi’an International Studies University with a major in Language Linguistics. During her over 15 years teaching, she worked as a superviser of international program at a renowned public high school and provided counseling for numerous students. She is also an excellent coach and director for public speaking, debate and extra curriculum. She has organized and coached multiple competitions nationally and internationally, pushing students to excellency and champions. Many of her students have been successfully admitted to oustanding univeristies such as Yale, Havard, Stanford, Peking, Tsinghua University and so on. Years of teaching experiences enables her to gain insights and perspectives in curriculum and language acquisition. She helped build ESL program at Tsinglan School. Her education motto is appreciation and differentiation. She has varieties of interests, particularly in reading, fitness and teaching. Ning Ning, Executive Director of Tsinglan Symphony Orchestra, Flute Teacher, joined Tsinglan School in February 2021. She graduated from Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and Haute école de musique Genève as a flute major. When she was studying abroad in Switzerland she was a flute professor for 3 years, teaching students from Switzerland and Germany. During that time, she also attended multiple concert performances (solo,chamber music and Symphony Orchestra). After she came back to China in 2013, she has been teaching flute ever since. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, scuba diving, fitness and photography.

She graduated from Beijing Normal University with a Bachelors Degree in Physics and from the University of Hongkong with a Master's Degree in Education. She has more than 14 years of multiple international curriculum teaching and managing experience (IB MYP/DP, IGCSE/A Level, VCE, National curriculum). She is an IBDP Examiner with rich experience in internal assessment and extended essay guidance. With her experience, she has achieved excellent teaching results in international examinations over the years. She has served as an academic director and guidance for further studies in other education groups and deeply understands how the curriculum supports students' academic development. Kelsey Rivera, Head of Drama and Theatre Arts teacher, from the United States of America, joined Tsinglan School in August 2019. She received a B.F.A. in Theatre, concentrating in Musical Theatre Performance and Theatre Education in 2014 and received a M.A. in the Science of Teaching Theatre in 2016, both from Rowan University. She also holds a teaching license from her home state of New Jersey, U.S.A. Kelsey has taught the Dramatic Arts for over 10 years in both the U.S.A. and in China, where she has resided for the past five years. She affirms that theatre education enhances the emotional and cognitive development of children. She strives to create a safe learning environment for all her students and affirms that every student has the right to learn in a space where each feels safe physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally. Kelsey has performed in numerous musical and theatrical productions since childhood. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys singing, dancing, and painting, as well as spending time with her animals and family.

Karla Trollip, G10 Grade Leader, Humanities Teacher, from South Africa, joined Tsinglan School in March 2018. Karla completed her post graduate degree in Economics at Nelson Mandela University. Her treatise focused on economic trade policy. She continued her Economics training at the University of Cape Town as part of the South African Development Research Unit. Karla also has completed her PGCE in Business and Economics as she decided to pursue a career in education. She has taught in different countries including South Korea where she gained unique insights into different educational systems. Her educational philosophy revolves around student agency and instilling a sense of personal responsibility. As a member of the Humanities Department she has taught the Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AS Level, as well as College Board AP Economics. Karla is passionate about Economics beyond the classroom and was an advisor to students competing in the National Economic Challenge. Her students achieved great success and recognition in this competition. She is an outstanding educator in Dongguan, and an Emerging Teacher of the Year by China Teachers Journal. She graduated from South China Normal University with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Pedagogy and a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature. She also graduated from East China Normal University's International Chinese Teacher Training Base. She was sent as a Chinese teacher from Confucius Institute to teach at Bali International School in Indonesia. In 2020 she recorded composition teaching course with Mr. Cui Yongyuan and published a book named《Cui Yongyuan's Master Composition Course - Practical Chapter》. She is also the deputy editor of the 《 5•3 Daily Practice》.Talia focuses on metacognitive research and pedagogical practice. She also has a strong interest in psychology and holds a professional skills certificate as a counselor from the Chinese Psychological Association. She is a Master Chinese Teacher, National Education Reformation Pioneer Teacher, Winner of the First National Teaching Achievement Award of the Chinese Ministry of Education, one of the Top 10 Academic Leaders of the First National Chinese Language Leauge, one of the Inductee for China's "Hundred Years of Chinese Language Museum", a Distinguished "National Training" Expert Teacher for Peking University and other universities, chairman of the National Middle School Chinese Teacher Studio Development Alliance, and vice-chairman of the Classroom Teaching Branch of the Chinese Language Newspaper Association. She is the first one who advocated the teaching concept of "Youth Chinese", which has produced a wide range of influences across the country. She has published 22 books while 24 articles were reproduced in full text by the reprinted materials of Renmin University of China newspapers.

Yanny Wu
High School Chinese Coordinator
Yanny Wu, High School Chinese coordinator, joined Tsinglan School in August 2019. Yanny graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in 2004. She also gained a Postgraduate Certificate of Art History in 2014, and a Master’s Degree of International Education (IBDP) in 2017 from Melbourne University. She teaches AP Chinese Language and Culture, A Level Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese Culture, CSL, and advises Tsinglan Chinese debate team. She is supportive of students who aim to try and achieve their goals. She is building such a platform not just by designing the curricula, but also by supporting student activities. With the effort of the whole Chinese faculty, Tsinglan High School students have held Chinese Drama Day twice in the past two years. She hopes that this stage will become a tradition, where Tsinglan students can create and embrace Chinese literature.

Marybell Wei
Primary School Head of English
Marybell Wei, Primary School Head of English, joined Tsinglan school in April 2020. She was graduated from The University of Edinburgh UK and was accredited with CELTA certificate by Cambridge ESOL center. Marybell has worked in the field of K12 international education for six years in curriculum development and teaching management. She was invited for promoting the use of authentic texts and the importance of academic English learning. Students from her previous school successfully won the First and Second Prize for MMUN Shenzhen and USAD awards; some of them were also admitted by well-known institutions such as Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. Marybell is familiar with international education system and standards and ESOL class requirements, owing to her work and study in UK, New Zealand as well as China.

King Wang, Primary School Head of Chinese Math, joined Tsinglan School in August 2021. He graduated from Hunan Normal University. Before joining Tsinglan, he has taught in public schools and private schools in Dongguan and has more than 20 years of teaching experience. He has been awarded as an outstanding teacher and excellent homeroom teacher for many times; has won awards in Guangdong provincial competitions, several first prizes in municipal competitions and honors such as Municipal Rising Star of Teaching and Dongguan City Primary Mathematics Teaching Achiever. In his spare time, he likes music and sports. Mr. Wang's humorous teaching style is well liked by students and leads children to explore the mysteries of the world of mathematics.

Josie Wang, G6 Grade Leader, Chinese Teacher, joined Tsinglan School in August 2020. She graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University with a major in Chinese Language and literature. She had over 13 years of teaching experience at an International High School in Beijing, where she participated in the creation of the Chinese curriculum system, as she took the lead in writing Chinese school-based textbooks, and was responsible for the Chinese teaching and activity planning of several summer programs for American middle schools for 10 years. She won the first prize in the "Supporting Front-line Teaching and Courseware Innovation Competition" organized by Beijing Chinese Language Network. Awarded as "Excellent Tutor" in Beijing Foreign Students' Chinese Language Festival. In the past 15 years, she has always insisted on caring for every student with her warm heart, treating every little mistake of students with a tolerant heart, and paying attention to every shining point of students with appreciative eyes.

As a certified teacher with 10 years of experience in teaching, he has worked at schools in Korea, Hongkong, and the Philippines. While working, Henry obtained another Master's Degree in psychology from the institute of psychology CAS and was certified by AMS as an international Montessori teacher. He integrates advanced educational philosophy with practical teaching and believes that the calling of an early childhood teacher is to prepare an environment that suits children’s interests and capabilities so as to foster their development and exploration.

He is a Certified National Second-Level Athlete and First-Level Fitness Coach. He loves sports and practices the teaching idea of "lifelong sports" with his own practical determination. Green started learning erhu when she was 7 years old and has won many 1st prize in the Provincial Competitions during her school years. During her college, she worked as an editor of the national-level projects <New China Army Stage Art Classics> and <Music Teacher Education Center>. Green is a member of the International Kodaly Association and the International Society for Music Education (ISME). She holds an Orff Senior Teacher Certificate. In 2015, she held her Erhu solo concert. During her spare time, Green is interested in photography and micro-film production.

Chang Zhang, Honorary Director of Tsinglan Symphony Orchestra, Cello Teacher, joined Tsinglan School in February 2021. Chang graduated from Xi’an Conservatory of Music. He is a member of the China Music Association and a National Level Cello Player. He was the music director of Gansu Provincial Opera House and Gansu Symphony Orchestra. At the same time, He is one of the Expert Judges for the Chinese Ministry of Culture "National Arts Fund" During 2018-2022. Over the years, he has been engaged in professional cello performance as well as cultivating many cello students with some of them won various awards in different global cello competitions, and many talented students have been admitted to famous schools around the world.

Xinsheng Zhang, Manager of School Nurse Office, joined Tsinglan School in August 2018. She graduated from Southeast University Medical College in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in preventive medicine. She has more than 30 years of experience in CDC and health supervision, and once served as the director of former CDC. She was mainly engaged in: (I) Epidemic diseases: She has accumulated rich experience in the handling of infectious diseases. She was awarded the Provincial Outstanding Individual during the fight against SARS in 2003. (2) Health supervision: She was in charge of the implementation of the relevant health laws and regulations and carry out health supervision in the fields of school health, environmental health, food health and labor health in the original jurisdiction. Xingsheng has a wide range of interests, like music,calligraphy, photography, tea ceremony and so on. Xinsheng is always willing to give her professional expertise to protect the health of all teachers and students!

He has won the Provincial Foundation Education Grand Prize, the Provincial Model Worker, the National Excellent Teacher, the Hong Kong Parkington Education Foundation Ruzi Niu Golden Globe Honorary Award, the National Top Ten Young and Middle-aged Teachers in Primary and Middle Schools, and he is a State Council Expert for Special Allowance. The monograph "Zhao Qianxiang and Green Language" won the special award for foundation education of the 5th Beijing Municipal Educational Science Research Outstanding Achievement Award.

She has more than 15 years of teaching experience in English and Art. She has worked both in the US Public School System as well as in Guangdong, China. Christina wants to be able to communicate with students, build their confidence and creativity, and be a mentor and friend to guide their studies.
