Li Wenping, Principal and board member of Tsinglan School, the former Executive Principal of Tsinghua International School (THIS) and a board member of the Beijing Innovative Education Society. She has earned a Secondary School Senior Teacher Certificate and the title of Beijing Elite Teacher. Before entering THIS in 2010, Ms. Li had 20 years of experience in basic education and achieved tremendous results. 12 years of working in International education makes Ms. Li vastly experienced in school management, curriculum and instruction, school operation, teacher development, student support and admission and recruitment. Ms. Li’s leadership approach not only focuses on the macro-development/growth of an school, it is also detail-oriented as evident in her diligent, industrious work ethic and her pursuit of excellence. Lara Lin, Vice Principal and Secretary of the Board at Tsinglan School, holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Hong Kong. With over 20 years of experience in the education field, including 12 years in international education, she has dedicated more than a decade to Tsinghua University High School, where she was deeply loved by students and recognized as one of the most popular teachers, earning multiple awards for excellence in teaching. As a founding core member of Tsinglan School’s leadership team, she has played a pivotal role in the school’s groundbreaking development from its inception and has witnessed every stage of its remarkable growth.

Bruce G. Hammond, Vice Principal, came to China in 2008 and was among the first Americans to work as a college counselors in a Chinese public school.  He served as Foreign Vice Principal and Director of College Counseling at Tsinghua International School in Beijing, where he helped to found Tsinghua International School. Prior to coming to China, Bruce was a teacher and administrator in U.S. independent private schools.  He was Managing Editor of the Fiske Guide to Colleges and is co-author of four books in the Fiske series.  Bruce received a B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science from Yale University and an M.A.T. in Social Studies Education from Brown University.

Vice Principal: Aui Zhao. A Tsinghua University High School Alumni, Mr. Zhao earneda Master of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics in Capital Normal University. He has taught Chinese at the Universidad EAN in Colombia, the Eisenhower Elementary School in Minnesota, United States, and then worked at Tsinghua University High School. He was a visiting student of the late Professor andacoustic phonetics expert Kenneth N. Stevens at MIT and is currently a member of the International Chinese Language Society (IACL).

Nicholas Iliffe, Associate Director of High School and Humanities teacher, from South Africa, joined Tsinglan School in August 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Politics from the University of South Africa, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with a focus on History and Business Studies, and a Master’s degree in International Education Leadership from Keele University. Prior to joining Tsinglan, he served as Deputy Principal at Crawford College International in South Africa for five years, and also spent over five years in Shanghai working for the Walt Disney Company, where he was the Regional Academic Director for Disney English. He is currently completing his NPQH Headship qualification through the British Ministry of Education.

Hang Guo, Director of Middle School, Humanities teacher, joined Tsinglan School in February 2019.He graduated from Tsinghua University with a Master's degree in Law, and from the University of Jilin with a Bachelor's degree in history and Chinese Language & Literature as he was awarded with the National scholarship and the National Innovation Project Support. Hang has worked in Venture Capital, focusing on education and Artificial Intelligence, with proficient work experience in economic, financial and investment. He teaches Chinese History, Basis of law and International Relations Analysis. He focuses on fieldwork and social practice, concerned with the diverse development of students. Hang is committed to creating innovative classrooms across disciplines. He has been awarded CTB "Best Coach" and NAQT" Outstanding Coach "honors

Patrick Raviola, Associate Director of Middle School and English teacher, joined Tsinglan School in August 2018. He graduated from Loyola College in Maryland with a B.A. in Philosophy and Framingham State University with a MA.Ed（International Teaching). He has been teaching since 2007. Patrick focuses on a holistic approach to education because Social-Emotional Learning and developing study skills and habits help all Middle School students to achieve the most. He draws upon his years of experience in education to help English learners advance their skills and to extend the learning of top achievers beyond the curriculum. His hobbies include traveling, sports, reading, writing and movies.

Liping Qi is the Director of our Bilingual Division. She was a middle and high school physics teacher for over 40 years. She was a subject leader in Haidian District, Beijing. She was recognized as an outstanding subject and outstanding home room teacher in Haidian. She worked as a part-time teaching researcher in the physics teaching and research office of Haidian District for many years. Liping participated in research on teaching and student research projects at the city, district and school levels. She was a teaching instructor to many young teachers at Tsinghua University High School,where she was rated as "our favorite teacher." 

Marybell Wei, Principal of Tsinglan Primary School and Senior English Teacher, holds a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and is certified by both the Cambridge CELTA and Moreland University Teacher Certification programs. With over a decade of experience in K-12 international curriculum development and teaching management, she previously served as the principal of a renowned youth English education brand in China. Marybell Wei is dedicated to enhancing students' academic English proficiency through reading. 

Under her guidance, students have consistently excelled in international competitions, winning awards at the MMUN Shenzhen Speech Competition, the World Scholar's Cup (WSC), and the US Academic Decathlon (USAD), as well as securing admission to the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY). 

With extensive work and study experience in the UK and New Zealand, Marybell Wei has a deep understanding of international education standards and youth English development systems. She is committed to nurturing future talents with a global perspective.

Rong Wei is an Associate Director of the Primary Division and G1 Grade Leader. She is passionate about life and education. Rong understands the importance of education, caring for students' well-being and holistic development. She graduated from the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She has worked at Dulwich College Singapore and Tsinghua International School in Beijing. In 2022 she was honored with the first prize for an education essay from Tsinghua University High School. She has been a keynote speaker for the ACAMIS Education Forum for four consecutive years. When teaching she was committed to implementing the "responsive classroom" approach and a philosophy of "holistic education." She firmly believes that every student is unique and that education is an art filled with love.

Rodney Callinan is the Vice Principal of Tsinglan Primary school with many years of teaching in Australia and abroad. He has taught students from kindergarten to post graduate university in range of subjects. He has management experience in PYP, MYP and high school and is a licensed IB PYP Principal. 

Currently holding three degrees: Master of Education from Deakin University, Australia, Post Grad Certificate in TESOL and a Bachelor of Education, both from the  University of Canberra, Australia. Mr Callinan also holds an Associate of Latin American and Ballroom F.A.T.D. and is a Mentor for American teachers using the ‘TeacherReady’, teacher licencing system from Florida, USA. When in Australia, Mr. Callinan represented the A.C.T. Board of Senior and Secondary Studies (BSSS) for the  curriculum design team, as well as  acting as the moderator for the revision and assessment of the ACT Colleges Dance curriculum. Regarding the teaching of Mandarin as a foreign language, he holds a certificate in teaching MFL from the University of Nanjing, as well as Certificates A, B,C in MFL from AMFLTA and DEEWR.  He has developed mulitple school curricula and has written 43 workbooks / reference books to facilitate English, IB and the UK national curriculum。

Ying Zhang, Director of Preschool joined Tsinglan since the foundation of school. She gained a Bachelor's degree awarded by Beijing Foreign Studies University and a Master's degree awarded by the University of Texas at Dallas. 

Henry Wang is Associate Director of our Kindergarten. He joined Tsinglan in August, 2020. He graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in 2014 with a Master's degree in education. He is certified by the American Montessori Society and has over ten years of experience in early childhood education. Henry has worked in South Korea, The Philippines and Hong Kong in both teaching and educational management roles. He then earned a Master's degree in Child Development Psychology from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2023. Henry won the "Excellent Teacher award in Songshan Lake" in 2021 and "Excellent Educator in Songshan Lake" in 2023. Henry believes that a teacher should provide an environment that matches the interests and abilities of the children, to enable their self-development and outward exploration.

Director of Curriculum, Teaching & Assessment Center (CTAC): Meng Li. Tsinglan School's founding leadership team member, and High School founding director. An alumna of Tsinghua University High School, Ms. Li graduated from Yale University (B.A.), Middlebury College (M.A.), and Columbia University (M.Ed). She serves as a member of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and a member of Cognia (formerly AdvancED). Prior to joining Tsinglan, Ms. Li taught at Riverdale Country School in New York City for seven years, and worked as the accreditation chair there. She served as a member of the New York State Association of Independent Schools and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. She has also worked as the Program Dean for the Oxbridge Academic Programs at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.

Zhang Xusheng, a school counselor, Director of Psychology Center, SEL (social emotion learning) program leader, is one of the founding members of the Tsinglan School. She graduated from the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences with a major in applied psychology. She has received systematic and professional training in the field of psychological counseling, including psychoanalysis, humanism, behaviorism, group counseling and crisis intervention. She is the lecture in Senior Psychological Counselor of Beijing United Family Hospital, Beijing Education College Primary and Secondary School Mental Health Teacher Psychological Counseling Technology Enhancement Training Instructor, lecturing on "Consultation Technology in Action Phase" and "Crisis Intervention". Her main areas of counseling include scientific parenting, personality issues, adolescent growth, marital relationships, family relationships, environmental adaptation, potential development, stress management, emotional management, team management, and interpersonal relationships. In 2008, as a special expert of the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, she went to Wenchuan to carry out psychological crisis intervention, and won the title of Advanced Worker of the Second Psychologists Conference, and spoke as a representative in the Great Hall of the People.
